If you prefer a stretchy‚ cozy cotton diaper that uses a separate waterproof cover‚ this diaper is for you. These diapers feature cute cotton knit prints on the outside and a quick-dry snap-in soaker or sewn-in soaker (your choice) on the inside. Your external soaker can be topped with a choice of fabrics for a stay-dry feeling‚ including microfleece‚ suedecloth‚ and athletic wicking fabric.

Because we use industrial snaps on the external soaker‚ you don't even need to unsnap the soaker before you toss it into the wash.

Two layers of soft stretchy sherpa or velour make up the inner body of the diaper. Our sherpa is a fabulously-soft 91% cotton and 9% polyester. The poly is all in the back‚ for stability. It is an ultra-thirsty 16 ounces per yard. Four layers make up the soaker pad‚ and will be made from your choice of fabric. Closures vary according to your options -- Aplix®‚ front snap‚ or side snap. The outer layer is a fashion print or velour of your choice.

You can also add a three-layer doubler for extended diaper wear.

Newborn/extra-small size includes a snap-down for umbilical cord healing (front snap and side snap versions only).

• XS/Newborn: birth - 12 lbs
• Small: 10lbs - 16 lbs
• Medium: 15 - 25 lbs‚ 15" Rise
• Medium-Long: 15 - 25lbs‚ 17" Rise
• Large: 22 - 40lbs‚ 18" Rise
• Extra Large: 40+ lbs‚ 20" Rise

** Note: diaper rise measurements listed above are the fully stretched rise measurements on the diaper. When the diaper is "at rest‚" subtract approximately 2 to 3 inches from the rise listed above.

Inner Body Layer

First you will choose to line your diaper with cotton Sherpa or velour. Velour makes for a super cozy diaper while Sherpa is also cozy but really offers a boost of absorbency. If you also choose an external soaker your soaker will be topped with your lining fabric of choice.

Outer Body Layer

Next you will select from our knit prints or velours for a stylish outer layer. For this type of fitted diaper a knit outer layer works best. If you were hoping to use one of our woven print selections you'll want to check out the Very Basic Fitted diaper.

Soaker Style

Traditionally the Very Baby diaper has an external soaker‚ but if you prefer an internal soaker with no separate parts to match up‚ this is a great option. While drying time is longer with this option‚ it is the diaper of choice for dads‚ mother-in-laws and sitters.

Soaker Fabric

• Sherpa: a knit terry fabric that has been brushed on the loop side to give it a soft‚ fleecey texture.
• Hemp French Terry: a knit hemp/cotton fabric that is incredibly absorbent and has natural anti-microbial properties
• Organic French Terry: 100% organic cotton. Maintains softness and becomes more absorbent with every wash.
• Bamboo Fleece: a knit bamboo/cotton fabric that has wonderful anti-microbial properties and maintains softness throughout its life.

Closure Type & Style

• Easy Aplix: Velcro-like closures for an easy‚ custom fit. Great option for overall adjustability‚ especially for thinner waists. Laundry tabs are always included. A cross-over tab is included for tiny waists
• Side Snap: This is your best option for adjusting for chunky thighs.
• Front Snap: This snap style is similar to the Aplix design‚ except with snaps. May not have the adjustability you need on a skinny waist. On snapping diapers, all internal snaps are hidden for your baby's comfort. No snaps will touch your baby's skin.

Soaker Topping

If you chose Sherpa as your inner lining you might want to change up the topping on your external soaker if that's what you chose. Options here range from athletic wicking fabric to velours to microfleece.

Care Instructions

• Prewash your diaper several times to wash away the fabric's natural oils (it may take up to 8 washings to reach maximum absorbency; prewash a few times and plan on frequent changes the first few wearings)
• Machine wash warm or hot with very little detergent
• Tumble dry or line dry
• No fabric softeners or dryer sheets
• Never use ANY diaper cream with athletic wicking fabric
• Remove stains by sunning
