PUL is an acronym for Polyurethane Laminate fabric. It is the waterproof outer layer for our All-In-One diapers, as well as the inner layer for covers and wraps. The PUL here at OBB is 100% polyester knit laminated with 1 mil waterproof polyurethane. PUL is very durable, and therefore great for diapering products. It is a product originally developed for the medical industry, and can withstand very high temperatures and a lot of use.
All OBB PUL is 1 mil. We feel it is softer, stretchier, and slightly more breathable than its crunchier cousin, 2 mil. In addition, we do not offer PUL prints. Because most PUL prints are usually made from cotton, they tend to wick, so we stick with polyester only.
